Croft Cargo is an international logistics company based in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire. Croft Cargo is a forward-thinking company that was established in 2010 and now has a turnover of circa £38 million. Croft Cargo has grand growth plans and we are now looking to recruit to grow and develop our sales team.

We are looking for a National Sales Executive to create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers. The role is to develop new business and actively seek new opportunities from potential new clients. This will require video presenting skills when producing and presenting quotes online to existing and future clients.

Role Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for new sales leads and visit if required
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Close agreements with clients to maximise profits
  • Ability to perform to set targets defined by the company
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Prepare reports on account status
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and grow opportunities within a territory
  • Co-ordinate with our overseas partners
  • Present

Requirements

  • Proven track record as a National Sales Executive.
  • Must be able to generate own leads and perform multiple site visits per week.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the freight forwarding industry specifically sea and air. Import and export
  • Solid experience with CRM software / Freight Forwarding software. Ideally Boxtop
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail and quoting clients.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to present on video quotations to clients daily if required.

Salary

Salary dependent upon experience. Starting at £40000.00 Per annum. Commission to be discussed to the correct candidate.

Experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience working within the freight forwarding industry. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of sea freight and air freight import and exports. Good knowledge of international Incoterms and HMRC knowledge would be an advantage. Sales experience also essential with a proven track record with the ability to show this,

Education

Full GCSE’s and work experience or bachelor’s degree.

License

Clean Full Driving license
